The EcoLegal Association draws attention to the fact that the fire that broke out at the Aninoasa landfill is not a random event, but the result of a long series of serious irregularities and lack of action by the competent authorities.

The EcoLegal Association filed a criminal complaint with the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) against the Government of Romania, the Ministry of Environment and the management of the National Agency for Environment and Protected Areas (ANMAP), for possible serious criminal acts related to the illegal establishment and operation of this structure.

EcoLegal Association is a nationally active non-governmental organization that defends the environment and fundamental rights through strategic litigation and independent investigations. We challenge polluting projects and abusive administrative acts (such as HG 311/2025) in court, monitor authorities and document cases of illegal waste disposal in the field.
